Reblogged from Author Kristen Hope Mazzola:
Here I stand
Waiting and wanting
Change is dangling from my hand
I beg to make a fist
My muscles wont respond
Everything seems close but far
My lungs let out a silent scream
Victory is mine
Only if I could want it
Step forward
Now leap
Just once, just leap
But here I stand
Waiting and wanting
Where nothing will change
I’m sharing this poem because I think so many people know this feeling (but hardly anybody voices it, especially not in this eloquent way).
One Comment on “Change…”
Oh my goodness, that’s so beautiful and yes I can relate at times. Lately, I’m happy to say I’m closing that fist and change is happening.
